After a prolonged delay in getting its website up (here) the Forest Industry Taskforce accelerates under Don Henry.  

The July 19 news release reports on the work of the Taskforce Core Group and its goal of reaching 'durable outcomes' including 'opportunities for change' through consensus decision making.   

'Opportunities for change' touch upon the establishment of new parks and reserves, threatened species, wood supply security, industry investment and growth, carbon, jobs and regional employment, regulatory revision and reform, the future shape of the industry and the future shape of conservation and the parks system.

It is not clear what 'pathways for short-term durability' means.
